When we think of Japanese restaurants, we mainly think about sushi.
As you may already know, sushi is a delicious and tasty way to enjoy seafood. But it can be expensive if you go to the best sushi restaurants in Toronto and order a table full of nigiri, sashimi, and rolls.
All-you-can-eat sushi restaurants offer the best of both worlds. Not only do they offer fantastic sushi at a reasonable price, but they also let you try new dishes that you might not normally order. On the plus side, you get to indulge in their tasty dessert menu without having to hunt down Toronto’s top dessert places. Unless you go to an all-in-one Japanese shop that offers poke bowls, sushi, and desserts like Kitaya, which serves literally one of the best soft-served Japanese ice creams ever!
With so many options, you’re sure to find the perfect AYCE sushi place for your needs. Whether you’re looking for a casual place to hang out with friends or something more upscale, you will definitely leave with a full and satisfying meal.

1. KaKa All You Can Eat
Address: 655 Bay St, Toronto, ON M5G 2K4
Address: 3235 Hwy 7 #18A, Markham, ON L3R 3P3
If you’re visiting the city or live downtown and don’t have the luxury of driving uptown, then this is the perfect spot for you. Located in the heart of Downtown Toronto, steps away from Eaton Centre, you’ll find this modern and trendy sushi place.
With over 100 items to choose from, including both cooked and raw options, there’s definitely something for everyone here. We love their aburi-style sushi (torched) and pressed sushi and how they have a wide variety of tataki.
The only drawback of KaKa is the price. It’s on the higher end compared to other all you can eat sushi places but you’re getting what you pay for in terms of quality and quantity. This is as close as you’ll get to a la carte sushi without spending a fortune ordering everything from the menu.
We found that their Markham location is better with our honest review here so if you have the chance to visit, definitely check that one out too!
2. Fushimi Sushi
Address: 491 Church St, Toronto, ON M4Y 2C6
Low-quality AYCE sushi places love to pack extra rice in their sushi, but Fushimi Sushi is not one of those places. This Japanese restaurant is known for its high-quality sushi and sashimi.
While the menu isn’t as extensive as some of the other places on this list, they make up for it with their fantastic sushi rolls. The Spicy Salmon Roll and Green Dragon Roll are our personal favourites.
They also have a unique roll (Banzai Roll) that doesn’t have any rice in it making it ideal for those that are trying to limit their carb intake.
The storefront is small but don’t let that fool you, there are many tables inside filled with happy diners.
3. Echo Sushi
Address: 2036 Yonge St, Toronto, ON M4S 1Z9
When a restaurant stays in business for more than 20 years, you know they’re doing something right. Echo Sushi is a local business that first opened its doors in 2003 and has been serving up delicious for midtown Toronto.
This restaurant is one of the cheapest AYCE sushi places in Toronto but don’t let that dissuade you, the food is still delicious. The restaurant picks its fish daily from suppliers to ensure that their sushi is always fresh.
The menu features all of the classics like nigiri, sashimi, and rolls. They also have some more unique options like brown rice rolls. While you’re there, you have to try their beef short ribs and compare them to the grilled short ribs that they serve at top Korean BBQ restaurants. They’re absolutely juicy and packed with flavours.
One of the best things about Echo Sushi is that they don’t skimp on quality or portion size, even though it’s an all you can eat restaurant. So if you’re looking for a good value meal, this is the place for you.
4. August 8

Of course, if you really want great dim sum, you should stick to the classic and popular dim sum restaurants in Toronto.
August 8 offers an array of all you can eat sushi and dim sum for a very reasonable price. The tempura is also very good – the batter is light and crispy and the vegetables are cooked to perfection.
Orders are placed on iPads which is always fun and interactive, and items come out quickly.
The lunch menu is somewhat limited but they do have a good selection of sushi rolls, teppanyaki, and dim sum. The dinner menu is much more extensive with sashimi, pressed sushi, and special rolls.
5. Matsuda Japanese Cuisine
Address: 5651 Steeles Ave E #13A-13B, Scarborough, ON M1V 5P6
Address: 1300 Don Mills Rd Unit #2, North York, ON M3B 2W6
Whether it’s a celebration or just a casual night out with friends, Matsuda is the perfect spot for your sushi fix.
We also have our non-biased review of Matsuda’s All You Can Eat Sushi here. We include mouth-watering photos of their famous makis, items from the grill, as well as yummy desserts that will satisfy your tummies!
What sets Matsuda apart from other AYCE sushi places is their teppanyaki table. Dining at the teppanyaki table costs a bit more than in the regular dining area, but you get a live performance where the chef cooks the food in front of you! The experience is a lot of fun and perfect for large groups. (Tip: call in advance to book your seats at the teppanyaki table because it’s highly sought after)
Matsuda is always busy and there’s usually a lineup out the door but it moves quickly. It’s best to make reservations so you don’t have to wait too long for a table.
The price of lunch and dinner is on the higher end but considering the quality of the food and the teppanyaki table, it’s worth it.
6. Sushi Legend
Address: Unit 3, 10 Ravel Road, North York, ON M2H 1S8

If you’re not a fan of sushi, don’t worry – they have other Japanese dishes like chicken cutlet, seafood udon, and enoki beef rolls.
The price is very reasonable, especially for dinner, and pop is included, which is special because many other AYCE restaurants charge separately for that! It’s a great place to go with a group of friends because you can try a bit of everything.
We also have our own honest review about Sushi Legend here after experiencing it ourselves – we tell you our nonbiased thoughts including the good, bad and ugly!
7. Ai Sushi
Address: 5103 Sheppard Ave. E, Scarborough, ON M1S 4N8
Address: 499 Main St S, Brampton, ON L6Y 1N7 (iSpoonful)
Ai Sushi is popularly known for delivering good sushi at a great value. Many people come here to order sushi platters for takeout because it’s enough to feed a large group and it’s very affordable.
They have 4 different locations but AYCE sushi is only offered at their Scarborough and Brampton locations.
Compared to other establishments, all their sashimi is thickly sliced so when you bite into it, there’s a satisfying amount of fish. The salmon sashimi is especially noteworthy – it’s orange and fresh with a melt-in-your-mouth texture.
If you’re dining in, the restaurant is not massive, but there’s enough space to comfortably seat a group of people.
Curious about what exactly they serve on their menu? Then head on over to our AI Sushi review here. We’ll tell you what to order and what items to avoid.
8. Spring Sushi
Address: 10 Dundas St E #500, Toronto, ON M5B 2G9
This is one of the most popular all you can eat sushi places in Toronto and for good reason. It’s conveniently located at Yonge-Dundas Square so if you want to grab a movie after dinner or do some shopping, you can easily walk there.
They have a nice and beautiful patio in the summer so you can enjoy your meal al fresco. What’s better than stuffing your face with sushi under the sun while overlooking the hustle and bustle of the city?
If you prefer to dine indoors, the inside of the restaurant is sleek and modern with an upscale feeling to it. Once you place your order on the iPad, your food magically appears in front of you in a flash. You can’t help but be impressed by the efficiency!
The sushi is superb, the vibe is amazing, and the price is unbeatable for dining downtown.
9. Ichiban Asian All You Can Eat
Address: 5095 Yonge St Suite A9A, North York, ON M2N 6Z4 (Empress Walk)
This hidden gem is located inside Empress Walk near North York Centre station. It’s not the easiest place to find but it’s worth the effort because the food is fantastic and it’s not too expensive.
Ichiban has a kitty robot server who brings you your food when it’s ready. It’s a fun and unique experience, especially for kids! The sushi is delicious with generous portions of fish.
The sweet shrimp sashimi is a must-order. As the name suggests, the shrimp is very fresh and sweet – definitely one of the best we’ve had. The tuna sashimi is also excellent – it’s thickly cut and melts in your mouth.
If you can’t end the day without your sweets, they have a dessert bar with tiramisu, pudding, green tea ice cream, and more.
10. K&B Sushi
Address: 1184 The Queensway, Etobicoke, ON M8Z 1R6
Address: 2045 Winston Park Dr, Oakville, ON L6H 6P5
Address: 6400 Millcreek Dr, Unit 1, Mississauga, ON L5N 3E7
K&B is an Asian and Japanese restaurant with multiple locations across the GTA – Etobicoke, Oakville, and Mississauga. The chefs here are skilled in making green curry, dim sum, and Japanese cuisine so you can order a bit of everything and try something new. Their Thai dishes are good but don’t expect the quality to match Toronto’s top Thai places.
With over 250 items to choose from, it’s hard to not find something that you and your group will enjoy. If you’re ever feeling indecisive, you can order everyone’s favourite dish and share it with your friends.
There are some mixed reviews about the quality of sushi but we thought it was pretty decent! The fish was nice and fresh and the rolls didn’t have too much rice. We also liked that they had a good selection of hand rolls and torched sushi.
The only way to tell if it’s good sushi or not is to try it yourself so if you’re in the neighbourhood, we recommend giving it a go.
11. Wind Japanese & Thai
Address: 6485 Mississauga Rd, Mississauga, ON L5N 1A6
While there aren’t many AYCE sushi places in Mississauga, Wind makes up for it with their tasty food and distinctive dining experience.
Wind uses fresh ingredients for all their dishes and the flavours are on point. The sushi is no exception – the fish is fresh and the rice is perfectly seasoned. They also have a nice variety of both traditional and creative rolls.
The aburi sushi here is on point. The sushi is slightly torched which adds a smoky flavour and gives the fish a beautiful sear.
Similar to newer sushi restaurants, after you send your order via iPad, they have little robot servers to deliver food to your table. But what makes them special is that they have real servers roaming around the floor with delicious skewered meat and grilled vegetables.
12. 168 Sushi Asian Buffet
Address: 2366 Dundas St. West, Mississauga, ON L5K 1R7
Address: 1520 Steeles Ave West, Concord, ON L4K 3B9
You’ve waited all week for this moment, and it’s finally here – today, you’re going to eat until your stomach explodes!
This local favourite has everything you would expect AYCE sushi would have, plus more! There are some Korean, Chinese, and Thai dishes like bulgogi and sweet and sour chicken, but the focus is definitely on Japanese cuisine. If you want amazing Korean food, you need to visit authentic Korean restaurants but if you’re just looking for a quick bite, 168 Sushi will do the trick.
The sushi here is solid – nothing too fancy but it hits the spot. The sushi is made fresh throughout the day so it’s always nice and delicious. The fish wasn’t cut too thin or thick, which we love.
Sometimes, they miss some orders but the servers are always quick to apologize and rectify the situation.
Overall, the experience is good and the food is great so we recommend 168 Sushi if you’re ever in the area.
