If you are in the Little Italy area, then you should definitely check out Duff’s Famous Wings. It is located on the same street as Rudy, one of the best places for juicy burgers in Toronto.
This family owned and operated restaurant, Duff’s Famous Wings, is known for their unbelievably spicy chicken wings.
Unlike many other fried wing places that has a long list of flavours, Duff’s offers a more refined selection like Plain, Buffalo, BBQ, Honey Garlic, Lemon Pepper and Salt & Pepper with varying spice levels. This is a good thing as they can focus on maintaining the quality and consistency of their wings.
They get their wings delivered to them fresh daily so you can be rest assured that their fried chicken wings are of top quality. Their wings are so freakin tasty! It is seasoned very well, with the meat being big and meaty, and maintained its crispiness even when it’s coated with sauces.
Some of us did not dare to try the hottest flavour but if you are up for the challenge, then you definitely need to try their signature Armageddon hot wings. It’s super spicy, but still very tasty. The flavour was not compromised by the spiciness. But be warned, your rear end will not be happy…
Their poutine is pretty awesome as well, so don’t forget about this the next time you visit Duff’s for some wings!
They also have two other locations; one on Bayview and one on Bathurst, so be sure to check them out the next time you feel like eating some spicy chicken wings!
2. Crown and Dragon

Address: 890 Yonge street, Toronto, Ontario

Located in Yorkville, many consider this highly popular pub to be one of the top spots in Toronto for wings.
The wings here are bigger than the average size, and so fresh, juicy and so finger licking good!
Crown and Dragon offers some interesting flavours here that are inspired by international cuisine like, Bollywood (marinated in tandoori spice and yogurt), Turning Japanese (teriyaki and sesame seed) and Viva Italia (parmesan and Italian herbs), just to name a few.
However, the star of the show here is most definitely the Dragons Breath, which is made with their award-winning in house sauce that’s spicy, and so mouthwateringly tasty. It will leave you wanting more!
For those who are trying to cut back on fried foods, you should check out their baked wings. They have 4 flavours on their baked options – Foghorn Leghorn, Bollywood, Cuban Sun and Do The Jerk. All of those are great but our top pick would have to be the Cuban Sun – a nice blend of spices making it a little spicy and so damn tasty!
They got some deals going on here too! Drop by on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Sundays; you can get 4 pounds of wings for the price of 3!
So, come check this place out. It’s a great place to watch a game and enjoy some great tasty wings with a nice cold beer.
3. The Fry

Address: 6012 Yonge St, Toronto, Ontario
Phone: (416) 546 – 0483
With the rise of the Korean wave around the world, not only did they bring k-pop, k-drama and movies, but also popularized Korean cuisine.
Other than kimchi and bibimbap, one of the most popular Korean foods out there is the Korean style-fried chicken.
Lucky for us, we don’t need to fly to Korea to experience these mouthwatering fried chicken, as we have an abundance of great Korean restaurants in our own backyard; and one of them being The Fry.
The Fry is known for their delicious Korean style fried chickens. These fried chickens are not like your typical fried wings that you are accustomed to. They are crispier and light – not heavily battered. Also, not only do you get the wings and drumsticks, but the whole chicken as well.
Don’t worry, you can still opt to get the wings if that’s what you prefer on their menu.
The flavours that you can get are the original Fried Chicken, Fried Chicken with Green Onions, Fried Chicken in Spicy Sauce, Soy Garlic Chicken, Fried Chicken in Sauce and Crispy Chicken and the portions are pretty big.
The most popular ones here – also our personal favourites – are the Fried Chicken with Green Onions and the Fried Chicken in Spicy Sauce.
The first one comes topped with a bunch of shredded green onions with delicious sauce drizzled all over it. The skin is so thin and crunchy, and the meat was quite juicy and tender. It did not seem dry at all.
And the spicy one comes glazed with a tasty red sauce (we’re assuming gochujang based) that is sweet and spicy. Even with the sauce on, the skin remained quite crispy for a while after serving.
They have multiple locations in the GTA and 2 in Ottawa, so find one near you and see for yourself. You wont regret it.
4. Hanmoto

Address: 2 Lakeview Ave., Toronto, Ontario
NO RESERVATIONS
If you are looking for something more interesting and unique, we definitively recommend you give Hanmoto a try.
Hanmoto is essentially an izakaya – a form of Japanese bar that serves foods and snacks that goes with alcoholic beverages.
The place is quite small, so they may not be able to accommodate a large party. The interior design is very cool though. It has a very weathered look and very dim lighting. It really gives a strong Japanese back street bar vibe.
This place is not like your typical wings joint, so don’t expect them to have multiple flavours of fried chicken wings to choose from; however, the one fried wing dish that they have – Dyno Wings – will blow your mind!
Their Dyno Wings are so interesting and unique – essentially a chicken wing stuffed with a juicy pork dumpling – unlike anything we’ve ever tried. You get 2 huge pieces of stuffed chicken wings that comes presented in a take box; glazed with a sweet and spicy sauce, lightly drizzled kewpie mayonnaise, and nicely garnished with seaweed, cilantro and pickled peppers. Just thinking about it makes our mouths water!
Their other dishes are also worth a mention too! For example, like the Salmon Aburi, Katsu Bun, Moto Bun and Miso Ice Cream, just to name a few. These truly will not disappoint! Many who have tried these have nothing but good things to say.
So, if you’re in the area, we highly recommend you give this place a try. It will truly be a memorable experience.
And if these mentions are making you crave for some good Japanese food, then check out these top places in Toronto that offers the best sushi!

Address: 397 Roncesvalles Ave, Toronto, Ontario
Phone: (416) 546 -1431
This new fried chicken joint that only opened over a year ago, should definitely be on your radar.
Located in Roncesvalles, this little gem makes one of the crispiest fried chickens that we have ever had.
Their Breaded Chicken Ding-A-Wing has such an amazing texture! So incredibly crispy, you can hear the crackling from every bite in your mouth. With the skin being so crispy, they’ve still managed to keep the meat so damn moist.
And it’s so well seasoned and jam-packed with flavour, that it leaves you wanting more after each bite!
The sides and sauce that comes with the order compliments the fried chicken so well. You can choose from Potato Salad, Pasta Salad, Coleslaw, Pickles and Crispy Smashed Spiced Fries for the sides; and Dinger Hot Sauce, Carolina BBQ and Honey Dill for sauces.
We especially loved the Potato Salad and Coleslaw. It is made so fresh with crunchy vegetables – tangy and creamy – it just a perfect pairing with the fried chicken. And the spiced fries were so good! Nice and crispy on the outside, soft in the inside and seasoned so very well – just can’t get enough of it!
You also need to try their chicken sandwiches. It is highly popular here. Beautifully seasoned fried chicken thigh that’s juicy and crunchy, topped with yummy toppings, and sandwiched between their soft potato buns. Their sandwiches will definitely be the best chicken sandwich you’ll ever have.
Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu.
6. Drums N Flats

Address: 1980 Avenue Rd., Toronto, Ontario
Phone: (647) 347 – 9474
What can be better than feasting on some delicious wings while accompanied with some great entertainment? Well, at Drums N Flats you can do just that.
This north Toronto neighbourhood pub makes super tasty wings and also features live rock bands at their venue.
The best thing here is that they give you the choice of getting drums, flats, or a mixture of both; which is perfect for those of you who just prefer certain parts of the wings.
They have a decent selection of flavours, but we recommend you try their Double Dipped flavours. The wings are essentially dipped in 2 flavours; its prepared by almost fully cooking the wings in one sauce, raked over their smoked BBQ till its perfectly cooked, then tossed again in a totally different sauce which gives you 4 layers of flavour, according to DNF. It is truly fantastic and so creative.
Besides having scrumptious wings, they also hold live performances by different rocks bands at their venue. You can rock out to some great music while you dine!
DNF is also a great place for watching sports games with their 19 flat screens, plus they have a nice outdoor patio space that is wrapped around the restaurant; perfect for when you want to enjoy your meal outdoors on a beautiful day.
The servers here are also super friendly, which makes the whole experience that much better.
