There’s nothing quite like a Lindt Ice Cream on a hot summer’s day. This Swiss chocolate company has been making some of the best ice creams worldwide for over 100 years.
Every summertime, Rui and I enjoy walking around Shops on Don Mills to catch the nice weather and do some window shopping. One thing I kept seeing this year was Lindt’s creamy and smooth ice cream on a waffle cone.
With all that exposure constantly screaming “Eat Me!”, I eventually succumbed to its power and got myself a scoop. A Lindt Ice Cream is not your typical ice cream. It’s made with real Swiss chocolate, which means it’s super rich and chocolaty.
So, we gave in and decided to go into Lindt to indulge in their delectable ice cream. I went for the classic milk chocolate flavour, while Rui went for the mix.
We both loved our choices! The ice cream was so smooth and rich, and the cone added a nice crunch.
Here are our thoughts about each ice cream on a waffle cone.
Lindt’s Milk Chocolate Ice Cream on a Cone Review
I am so glad I got the pure milk chocolate flavour. After all, chocolate is one of my favourites! The first bite was amazing. The second bite, even better. And by the third bite, I was in love. Both our ice creams had a nice chocolatey drizzle on top.
The ice cream was so smooth and creamy, it just melted in my mouth. The real Swiss chocolate gave it a rich flavour, which admittingly was a little too sweet for me.
To my surprise, as I was licking my cone and finishing up, I noticed a really rich and viscose texture of creamy chocolate at the bottom of my cone. The viscosity was on another level and it was too much, and WAY too sweet, for a small cone like this.
I loved the ice cream and cone, but absolutely dreaded the end because it was hard for me to swallow that thick chocolate cream or ganache. Just imagine yourself drinking a shot of that chocolate drizzle – it’s overwhelming and felt as if I was eating thick liquid chocolate.
If I were to order this again, I would ask them to skip the melted chocolate cream at the bottom of the cone.
Overall, I could definitely taste the high-quality chocolate in this dessert. The milk chocolate Lindt ice cream on a cone is extremely rich, creamy, and delicious – it’s hard not to love it! But if you’re like me and prefer something that tastes less sweet, then you will probably want to stick to Asian-style ice cream like green tea, red bean, or black sesame.
In fact, Rui asked me if I prefer Lindt ice cream or something like Kitaya’s soft serve matcha ice cream. Both are amazing, but I would have to say Kitaya all the way!
Lindt’s Mix Ice Cream on a Cone
At initially glance, you would think this is a vanilla mix with chocolate, but it’s not.
Instead of using classic plain vanilla, Lindt was creative and decided to use white chocolate. I mean, they are a chocolate company after all, right?
Luckily I didn’t get the mix because I’m not a fan of white chocolate. I just can’t stand white chocolate because it’s too sweet for me!
Needless to say, Rui absolutely loved his mix ice cream! He loved the fact that the cream was smooth and rich, not at all icy like some cheaper ice creams. He also commented on how the waffle cone was pleasantly crunchy.
I forgot to say that the ice cream comes with a piece of Lindt’s dark chocolate square for you to top your cone with. I thought that was a really nice touch!
Rui’s last words are the same as mine – the end of the cone was filled and overpowered by the melted chocolate, making this dessert extremely sweet and chocolatey. He would also like them to skip the chocolate cream at the bottom next time.
Minus the bottom-filled chocolate cream, Rui prefers Lindt’s ice cream over Asian-style ice cream due to its richness in flavour. As you can see, we both have different tastes and preferences.
Lindt’s Ice Cream Price
I guess you could say it’s a little pricey if you compare it fast food ice cream or a tub of ice cream from your local grocery store. Each ice cream cone cost $6.49 before tax ($7.33 after tax).
Since we purchased two, it came out to be a total of $14.67. So yeah, you can’t say it’s cheap, but it’s worth indulging in if you’re looking for some premium ice cream! 🙂
Overall, we both enjoyed our Lindt ice creams on a waffle cone! The milk chocolate flavour was rich and creamy, while the mix was also delicious. If you’re looking for a high-quality and tasty ice cream, then Lindt is definitely the way to go. However, if you don’t have a sweet tooth or prefer something less sweet, then you might want to try other flavours like green tea or red bean.
The Lindt Ice Cream is now one of my favourite summertime treats (at least Rui’s top favourite) that it will probably make it to our list of the best ice creams in Toronto. I personally wouldn’t have it again until next year!
If you’re looking for a delicious and unique ice cream experience, be sure to check out Lindt’s Ice Cream the next time you’re out and about. You won’t regret it!
Im glad you and your friend enjoyed the Lindt ice cream cone. I wish my husband and I could say the same. We we’re expecting the highest taste experience from Lindt whose chocolate we adore. We opted for the dark chocolate ice cream cone. It was pale and not chocolatey enough. It was fatty without much depth. Yes, towards the end, it was unbearably sweet. I’ve had many chocolate ice cream cones and this would sit among the bottom. But we’re all different and it’s great how there’s something for everyone.
Hi Nancy!

Hi, do you guys happen to know if it’s temporary (would love to know till when will the soft serves last) or permanent? Asking because I live in a different city but would love to drive by and have a taste of it before it goes away 🙁
