1. French Corner Bakery & Patisserie
Address: 1224 Dundas St W #114, Mississauga, ON L5C 4G7
Website: Not available
The French concept of French Corner Bakery & Patisserie is hard to define; some like its luxurious vibe, while some crave its coziness and ability to enjoy the simple joys in life, aka desserts. However, the best way to experience the French lifestyle is to try it yourself.
Located in the CORNER of Dundas Street, you could drive by this bakery three times and still miss it if you’re not paying attention (and we once have). After all, unlike most bakeries with glass windows and doors, this one won’t give you a glimpse at the magic inside if you’re only walking by.
The variations of croissants made this bakery famous in the Sauga area. Still, sure they have more unique desserts you will obsess with, including Sticky Bun, Chocolate Dome, and Pistachio Mousse. They are not just some of the French-inspired desserts you can find in Mississauga, but one of the best desserts in the city, period.
2. Daddy O Doughnuts
Address: 589 N Service Rd, Mississauga, ON L5A 1B2
Website: https://daddyodoughnuts.com/
Daddy O Doughnuts is notorious for selling out quickly, so you better act fast to secure your favourite soft and fluffy delicacies. This café may not get enough credits for its British-baked goodies, but their doughnuts top the charts. Their selection is usually decimated, so hurry up when they open at 10 a.m.
If it’s your first time, order a box of original glazed, and you will find yourself coming back again and again. But the best part? They offer vegan doughnuts so that everyone may experience a little piece of bliss.
Our favourites include Strawberry Shortcake, Homer Simpson, and Apple Cider Glazed Twists – the best breakfast substitute for apple pie.
3. D Spot Dessert Café
Address: 5165 Dixie Rd Unit 7, Mississauga, ON L4W 4G1 (+more locations)
Website: https://dspotdessert.com/
Look outside the window. If the sun requires you to “put your sunnies on,” then it’s time to line up for some cold, creamy treats at one of the top cafes like D Spot. More specifically, it’s time to make a beeline for waffle ice cream, crepes, and milkshake that comes in various flavours.
D Spot is a perfect respite from the bustle and hustle of the city. This casual, colourful café where sweet delicacies reign supreme, has a large IG-worthy venue for you and your hungry friends. Large tables and a massive menu of baked goodies.
It’s open from 1 p.m. to 12 a.m. (and 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays!), so if the taste of chocolate cake haunts you during late- nights, you know where to go.
4. Supermoon Japanese Cheesecakes
Address: 128 Queen St S #19, Mississauga, ON L5M 1K8 (+more locations)
Website: https://www.supermooncheesecakes.com/
As per their moniker, this minimalist café is cheesecake heaven. The extensive cheesecake menu at Supermoon Japanese Cheesecakes in Streetsville will make you think you can finish 6 slices of cheesecake. “We have a freezer at home,” is what you’ll say to yourself when you see the cheesecake flavour of the month.
Our suggestion? Dine in as a group and order different cheesecake flavours for each one because, yes, they are super delicious. Their master baker, Mona, bakes pastries slowly and for several hours, which makes each slice insanely creamy and moist.
We must admit that even though their cakes are basic, without tempting toppings, and simply have their logo and name on top, they may be Mississauga’s best cheesecake shop.
Note: Stay tuned for their cheesecake of the month posted on their Instagram page.
5. Lazar Bakery
Address: 325 Central Pkwy W Unit 12, Mississauga, ON L5B 3X9
Website: https://www.lazarbakery.ca/
Don’t try to Google what Lazar means because we assure you they are far from that. What we know, though, is that Lazar is a Portuguese bake shop offering delicious dessert classics like Portuguese tarts and cannoli since 2001.
This dessert shop specializes in cakes and pastries, and other things that would make a dentist panic, but it’s their tart varieties that we have a soft spot for. From custard tart and egg tart to fruit tart, they will not disappoint. All flavours are worth every penny, but it’s the egg tart that local punters are obsessed with.
Want to give a friend a surprise birthday cake? Feel free to order a customized one. They are as delicious as their usual offerings. No regrets.
6. Snowies Bingsu
Address: 169 Dundas St E, Mississauga, ON L5A 1W8
Website: https://snowiesbingsu.com/
Contrary to other people’s beliefs and some groundless propaganda, Bingsu is not tied to a particular weather condition. It’s a state of mind. It’s definitely based on the state of mind of a foodie who eats whatever they want, including devouring an extra cold Bingsu in the rain or snow season.
Snowies Bingsu is like no other. The Bingsus at this small, pink-tinged café is made from Korean shaved ice with most of the tea ingredients sourced locally. Favourite Bingsu flavours include Matcha, Strawberry, Oreo, and their very own, Injeolmi. You can order all that, plus a range of vegan options.
7. Baklawa King
Address: 488 Eglinton Ave W, Mississauga, ON L5R 0G2 (+more locations)
Website: https://baklawaking.com/
If you would browse the Instagram page of Baklawa King, you might end up driving to this Middle Eastern pastry spot to get a box of assorted Baklawa with popular options such as a Swar with Pistachio, Assabeh with Almonds, and Basma w/ Cashews for the road. And “for the road,” we mean your mouth.
With a variety of Baklawa flavours, you might want to try them all. And you should not hesitate to do so because they are not only visually appealing but also incredibly delicious. But no matter how tasty their sweet treats are, you can only finish a little at a time.
So, while Baklawa King has many tables inside, your best bet is to take away and share them with your friends and loved ones.
8. Sugar Marmalade
Address: 780 Burnhamthorpe Rd W #2a, Mississauga, ON L5C 3X3 (+more locations)
Website: https://www.sugarmarmalade.com/
If you have passed by within the vicinity of Sugar Marmalade without pausing upon seeing the enticing desserts featured on their windows, then we envy the kind of self-discipline you have – a trait we wish our Amazon delivery driver to have.
But it is such a mistake to ignore the classical taste of some Hong Kong desserts offered at this airy and elegant café. As impressive as the choices of milkshakes and waffles look, they are even more delicious.
As for Hongkong dessert treats, you will struggle to pick between Glutinous Rice or Grass Jellies. However, they are two different desserts, so you can order both if you have extra space for your tummy. It is not that bad to break some self-discipline once in a while, isn’t it?

9. Eva’s Original Chimneys
Address: 53 Lakeshore Rd E, Mississauga, ON L5G 1C9 (+more locations)
Website: https://www.originalchimneys.com/
There are cakes, which we love. There are ice creams, which we also love. And finding these two in one place is a big YES for us. Despite the two being mainstream desserts, finding a place that does not disappoint is daunting.
Luckily, we have found Eva’s Original Chimneys, a Budapest-inspired café, which is more of an ice cream shop than a bakery. This place is more focused on serving creamy soft-serve ice cream (dairy or vegan), which is flavourful and rolled in delicious ice cream cones – it tastes so good that it might ruin other ice creams for you.
Moreover, their cakes, known as Chimney Cakes, are not the usual round or triangular slices you see in bakeries. They are bread-like pastries in a hollow cylindrical shape. Unlike regular fluffy cakes, Chimney Cakes are crunchy on the outside and soft as cotton on the inside.
Pop in anytime, and you’ll know that once you taste any of their dessert offerings, you will indeed look for more excuses to come back here.
10. Dolled Up Cupcakes
Address: Meadowvale Town Centre Cir Unit MO2B, Mississauga, ON L5N 4B7
Website: https://www.dolledupcupcakes.com/
Cupcakes have always been a constant in our lives. After all, they are one of the most inexpensive desserts you can find, and bakers can easily make them chocolatey, fruity, and even vegan. But whatever flavour they may come, they always have a place in our hearts.
So, stumbling upon this cupcake shop, Dolled Up Cupcakes, was like finding a $20 bill in our old pair of jeans. It is undoubtedly a great find! This dessert spot offers an extensive menu of cupcakes such as Chocolate, Red Velvet, Cookies & Cream, and more.
Moreover, rare selections that are mostly unavailable in other cupcake shops but you can enjoy them here, like S’Mores Please, Dulce de Leche, and the Green Tea flavour. You can visit their social media pages for a complete seasonal and weekly flavours list.
Pro Tip: They sell out popular flavours near closing (5 p.m.). Order fast before the sweets are sold out!
