Do you ever feel like a plastic bag – drifting through the wind, wanting to start again? This is one of the best songs by Katy Perry. Just saying.
If you’ve been feeling this way lately, it’s possible that there’s a deep void in your life. However, this void can be filled with the deliciousness of Chinese cuisine, whether it’s the freshness of dim sums, the warmth of piping hot hot-pot, or the rich flavours of hand-pulled noodles – whatever you happen to be craving right now.
Fortunately, no matter which neighbourhood you are in Mississauga, you can always have Chinese restaurants to dine at. From serving warm wonton noodles and delicious soup dumplings to soul-satisfying Peking Duck, the city will never experience a shortage of Chinese delicacies.
We know that local foodies have their own go-to Chinese restaurants for dining in and takeout, but we can’t help but share a list of our favourite spots that are worth trying, even if it means cheating on your reliable Chinese food joint.

1. Chi’s Congee & Noodle House
Address: 1177 Central Pkwy W Unit 66, Mississauga, ON L5C 3J2
Website: Not Available
The ambiance at Chi’s Congee & Noodle is a bit basic and mundane, which can be disappointing if you’re like us and love to pose for the ‘gram before ordering food. However, if you give them a chance, you’ll see why the interior doesn’t deter local diners from eating here.
Located on Central Parkway W. for years, this restaurant stands out among hundreds of Chinese restaurants in Mississauga. It’s not surprising, considering their consistently and uniformly delicious food. As a result, the place is always busy from 11 am when they open until 11 pm when they close.
A meal here should involve congee and noodles (they’re a must-try). However, you’re not limited to these options alone as there is a wide variety of Chinese food to choose from.
2. Summit Garden
Address: 3015 Winston Churchill Blvd, Mississauga, ON L5L 2V8
Website: https://www.summitgarden.com/
In a non-extravagant exterior, one-storey building in Erin Mills stamped in green letters is Summit Garden, an upscale Chinese restaurant with a cozy, elegant, huge dining area inside and VIP rooms that can accommodate up to 400 people.
With a chef who used to serve the Royalties in Asia, we would not wonder why you’ll end up with a restaurant like Summit Garden. It offers not only classic Chinese food but also what a master chef with an exemplary dining experience makes when he has access to all great produce and meat in Mississauga.
This restaurant serves some of the best dim sums in Mississauga in the mornings and dinners are filled with birthday celebrations, weddings, or other special occasions with family and friends. Traditional dishes like Cantonese and Szechuan cuisine are highly recommended here.
3. Congee Queen
Address: 800 Boyer Blvd #5, Mississauga, ON L5V 2Y1 (+more locations)
Website: https://www.congeequeen.com/
Looking for a restaurant that lives up to its name and won’t disappoint you? Look no further than Congee Queen, the reigning monarch of congee in Toronto!
Despite being consistently packed with customers, some people believe that Congee Queen is overrated and may not get the credit they deserve. However, with nearly 10 locations in Toronto, we firmly believe that they truly live up to their title as the Queen of Congee, or Congee Queen, whichever you prefer.
Their menu, featuring many types of congees, barbecue, seafood, and noodles in Chinese characters (along with English translation), sets them apart from the rest. And let’s not forget about their impressive wine list! But don’t just take our word for it. Head to their Mississauga (East Credit) location and prepare to be amazed by their creativity.
4. Chilli Chicken House (CCH)
Address: 4040 Creditview Rd #25, Mississauga, ON L5C 4E3 (+more locations)
Website: https://chillichickenhouse.com/
After a long, exhausting, monotonous week at work, sometimes we want to dive into a massive bowl of chilli sauce to feel something. Whenever you feel this way, again, Katy Perry reminds us: “You just gotta ignite the light, and let it shine,” and drag yourself to Chilli Chicken House to satisfy your chilli and Hakka food craving.
Everything here, from Manchurian Chicken to Hakka noodles, is made fresh daily and surely satisfies any spicy food craving imaginable (though it is sad that chicken feet are not available here).
Their chicken is tender and full of flavours, while their noodles are perfect for warming your tummy. All in all, you can’t go wrong with anything on their massive menu.
Want to order some food for the family at home? This Indo-Chinese restaurant does delivery and takes out, but their Indian-flag-inspired dining space is ready to accommodate those who can’t wait to get home to enjoy their order.
5. Szechuan Noodle Bowl
Address: 400 Dundas St E, Mississauga, ON L5A 1X5
Website: https://szechuannoodlebowl.com/location/Mississauga/
It’s a shame for someone who lives in Sauga and hasn’t tried Szechuan Noodle Bowl. This authentic Chinese restaurant in Cooksville is home to some of the best Szechuan-style dishes around. Unlike other Szechuan restaurants where customers cook ingredients on their tables, at Szechuan Noodle Bowl, every order is cooked behind the scenes.
Head to Szechuan Noodle Bowl for one of the finest bowls of noodles in the city. Their Spicy Beef Noodles are particularly noteworthy, with more spice and a thinner sauce than other local versions. All dishes, especially their native specialties like beef lungs with chilli sauce and pork belly seasoned with soy sauce, come with just the right amount of spice.
It’s not the ideal spot if you’re counting calories, but let’s be real, it’s an Asian restaurant. They serve rice, so having some carb-on-carb is perfectly normal.
6. Chiuchow Man Chinese Restaurant
Address: 1177 Central Pkwy W #69, Mississauga, ON L5C 4P3
Website: https://chiuchowman.ca/
Before we drift off into a deep slumber, sometimes we find ourselves hoping that a certain person will whisper our name from the window at night, as Leonardo De Caprio did in Romeo and Juliet. But this time, we wish that person had a duffel bag full of seafood. Could that person be Tom Holland? Yes, it’s possible!
If that person doesn’t show up, don’t worry. You can take matters into your own hands and head to Chiuchow Man for some takeout whenever the seafood craving strikes (just avoid Tuesdays because they’re not open on Tuesdays). Established over a decade ago, Chiuchow Man is a reliable go-to for anyone who loves Chinese food, especially for Chiu Chow-style.
We highly recommend trying their marinated varieties to get a taste of the assortment of Chiu chow dishes for a great price. They also offer a massive selection of hot pots, which are ideal for warming up during the Canadian winter months.
7. Yin Ji Chang Fen
Address: 4040 Creditview Rd Unit B5, Mississauga, ON L5C 3Y8
Website: https://www.yinjicanada.com/
Perhaps you’ve been trying your hand at turning a simple bag of rice into a delectable rice noodle roll, like a Hogwarts student in a home cooking class. But once you’ve exhausted your magical skills, head over to Yin Ji Chang Fen – a restaurant with a name that sounds almost as enchanting as its food.
Their rice noodle rolls come in a range of flavours, from veggie to pork liver, sweet corn, fish sliced with chives, and more. Yin Ji Chang Fen first opened in the Guangzhou province of China in the 1950s, and they have continued to thrive ever since, offering the best authentic rice rolls.
Now with five locations across Toronto, including one on Creditview Road in Mississauga, this popular restaurant is bustling with customers every day. If you want to secure the best spot to indulge in your favourite Chinese food, it’s best to arrive before the dinner rush. Just don’t count on using the spell “Impedimenta” to freeze anyone who’s about to take your desired seat.
We also have our own honest review about Yin Ji Chang Fen here after experiencing it ourselves – we tell you our nonbiased thoughts including the good, bad and ugly!
8. Meet Noodles
Address: 1900 Fowler Dr D103, Mississauga, ON L5K 0A1
Website: Not Available
Whether the thermometer drops below 0 degrees or not, you can always find us at Meet Noodles. This Chinese restaurant in VanMills Centre boasts an extensive menu filled with tremendous dishes, but we’re not interested in tasting everything because we’re completely addicted to one dish.
Our obsession with Meet Noodles is all thanks to their mouth-watering Pork Belly Noodles. It’s the kind of dish that we crave on a Monday, think about all week, and eagerly return for on Friday. The rich and slightly spicy broth pairs perfectly with the perfectly cooked, chewy noodles that burst with intense flavour. The thick chunks of pork are so succulent and moist that chewing becomes optional.
9. Magic BBQ & Seafood
Address: 660 Eglinton Ave W, Mississauga, ON L5R 3V2
Website: Not Available
After its management change, Sam Woo underwent a complete revamp, emerging as the newly named Magic BBQ & Seafood. And it’s no surprise that this restaurant has quickly become a favorite among foodies who crave both BBQ and seafood.
It’s not easy to combine BBQ and seafood, but Magic BBQ & Seafood definitely nails it. With a name that puts the food front and center, this restaurant certainly delivers.
Ordering here is quick and easy. Get any BBQ items (pork, chicken, duck, etc.) and pair them with chilli sauce. Be sure to get dumplings or dim sum, too. They are non-negotiable.
10. Wonton Express
Address: 4040 Creditview Rd unit 22, Mississauga, ON L5C 3Y8
Website: Not Available
Mississauga locals know that Wonton Express is a Chinese food staple in the area. While there are plenty of contenders vying for the title of “Best Wonton” in town, our personal favourite can be found here. The reason? Each bowl of wonton is served with warm, glistening broth that has been simmered to perfection and infused with your choice of egg, shrimp, fish, or beef.
Their wonton noodles come with racquetball-sized dumplings, aka Wonton sitting royally like Emilia Clarke sitting on the iron throne in Game of Thrones. Do you see it? Did the image of the Mother of Dragons form in your mind? No?
Okay, we promise that’s the last time we’ll try to be creative in every caption. But trust us when we say that a visit to Wonton Express is definitely worth it to experience this delicious combination for yourself.
